We are looking for a programmer to join our team in June. The position is open for our office in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have good understanding of computer programming and be able to program in Scala (Java is acceptable). A good understanding of strongly typed systems and applied category theory is a big plus.

Work with me on modern system in Scala and Java; system with high throughput, with data stored in schema-free stores (document, graph and key-value). Learn how to make the most of functional, rich type and generic programming approaches in Scala. I will give training, motivation (and quite possibly homework) to the right person covering the principles of the technologies involved in our projects. See https://github.com/janm399 and http://www.cakesolutions.org/ for examples of what awaits you.
Apart from the exciting projects, you will get every opportunity to work on open source projects, come to conferences, user groups; to help with the editorial work on the Open Source Journal.

If you are interested, and if you have published work (GitHub repository, articles, books, etc.), please send your CV and links to your work to janm@cakesolutions.net. Students and graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply, recruiters & agencies are strongly discouraged.

Join me and together, we will rule the galaxy!
