Rummaging through my hardware cupboard, I found the iMX53 board and I decided to build a kernel that maximizes power saving and then to deploy akka application with its REST API implemented in spray running in spray-can–and to measure the power consumption.
The results were really good: I have akka application running with 5 HTTP actors and 5 “entity” actors consuming about 2.4 W!
